Mark Beccue, a senior analyst at Abi Research who studies consumer mobile technology, also has reservations. “What puzzles me is, what market we are addressing here?” he says. “I saw a video of using [Square] in a coffee shop and thought, ‘Don’t they have a cash register?’ ” Beccue concedes that the product may work for certain niches, such as markets or art fairs, but he doesn’t think it has mainstream appeal. He suggests that most small businesses will prefer traditional point-of-sale systems for managing credit cards, and that ATMs are convenient enough that individuals aren’t likely to turn to Square to pay each other.

This puzzles me about Square.

Not me. My business involves meeting people in public places or in their own homes for consultations and ordering sessions. We currently don’t use a mobile Point of Sale system to accept credit cards, so people can’t pay with them. We’d love to start accepting them without signing a contract with someone, though.

Glee Cast - Last Christmas

I’m addicted to this show.

A Long Island deli owner who held a robber at gunpoint, then let him go after giving him $40 and a loaf of bread, says he got an anonymous letter from the crook that included a $50 bill and a thank-you for saving him from a life of crime. “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” - Neil Young
originally by Will Smith
(posted by sometimesagreatnotion)

This might just be the best cover I have ever posted.  Neil Young played this last night on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and the universe was complete.

ETA: Man, I’m going to start having to basically add a P.S. to every post I make on here from now on!  Yes, of course, I am well aware that this is not Neil Young, but rather Jimmy Fallon doing a Neil Young impression.  However, it’s funnier if you think it’s going to be Neil Young, which is why I put “Neil Young” as the artist.  I apologize, again, to all the angry hipsters who were brilliant enough to let me know in their comments/reblogs that IT WAS ACTUALLY JIMMY FALLON - because otherwise, I totally would have been fooled by this impression.  Thank you geniuses!

I guess I thought CopyCats could handle a joke - my bad.

This is a great cover, it makes me want to watch the show again!

Reblog for awesomeness.

Did you know?

In English, there are unique words for the numbers 0-12, but in French and Spanish, the numbers are unique from 0-15.

I’ve always wondered why there were uniques past ten, since we’re largely a 10-base numbered society.
